PSM stands for Plastarch Material which is comprised of starch combined with several other biodegradable materials. The starch used in this line is corn. Years of research in pursuit of bio-based alternatives to traditional plastics has lead to the development of a process that converts corn successfully into a material which displays plastic characteristics. It is modified in order to obtain heat resistant properties, making PSM one of few bioplastics capable of withstanding high temperatures. They will biodegrade in an average of 180 days in a landfill and controlled environment. Our PSM Series containers are tightly hinged to keep your food fresh and to prevent leakage or spills. Other than the positive impact on the environment, they are great holders for your to-go meals coming in a range of different sizes fitting your every need. They are a viable, non‐toxic, microwavable, freezer safe, styrene‐free alternative to conventional plastic and Polystyrene/Styrofoam containers.
